Suzanne M. Tabert

Suzanne Tabert is a bioregional herbalist, storyteller, author, and educator with nearly four decades of experience teaching the art and science of plant medicine. With a heart rooted in nature, she loves sharing herbal wisdom that inspires others to create beauty, balance, and healing in their daily lives.

As the founder and director of Cedar Mountain Herb School, one of the longest-running herbal schools in the Pacific Northwest, Suzanne is known for her grounded, practical approach to herbalism and her deep belief that true plant knowledge is built through experience, observation, mentorship, and time spent working directly with the plants themselves.

Through her in-person apprenticeships and intensives, Herbal Materia Medica Monthly subscription, webinars, articles, and public speaking, Suzanne helps students move beyond surface-level herbal trends into a deeper understanding of how plants interact with the body and how lasting herbal wisdom is developed.

Her forthcoming book, The Forager’s Apothecary: Remedies and Recipes for 50 Common Wild Plants, will be released in early 2027 and is available for pre-order wherever books are sold. Learn more at cedarmountainherbs.com
